Hergen Dutrieux 23 – 13 H’cap
I met Chris 3 years ago at Spaarnwoude. At the time my handicap was 23.8 and after 2 years of golfing I felt I had made little progress. During my first lesson with Chris I let him know I had the aspiration to become a single handicap player.
After 3 years of frequent lessons and much practice my goal is in sight. I have the intention to become a single handicap player in 2010. Chris has given me a greater insight into golf itself and not only my swing . The changes we made together were taken step by step over a period of time. It has also been very useful to play both the par 3 course as well as the 18 hole course with him. Chris is a relaxed and enthusiastic professional whom I can highly recommend to anyone wishing to make an improvement in their golfgame.

Chris teaches golf the right way. He gives great attention to the foundations of a good technique namely the set up, grip and allignment . This is the way to make sure that the clubhead moves in the right direction with maximum speed, a necessity for long straight shots.
During lessons lots of attention is given to the short game and having control of the ball in and around the green: putting, chipping and bunker shots. This is the area whereby scores can be improved and handicaps lowered without to much change and difficulty.

“What can I say? Common sense is instinct. Enough of it is genius”.
I started training with Chris 3 years ago when he was a Pro at Spaarnewoude. After a few practice sessions I really noticed the difference on the golf course. At this time I did not have my GVB and had never played golf properly in my life. Chris’s methods are constructed around positive attitude, muscle memory and small changes. Not only is Chris a very knowledgeable Professional but also a nice person to be associated with.
I started on a 36 handicap and after my first year I reached a handicap 21 – the next year due to injury golf was out of the question. In 2009 we continued to work on my swing and short game with my handicap being reduced to 12. This was due to my own perseverance alongside the tuition and guidance Chris gave me.
I have been taught that golf is more than just hitting the ball. Teeing off, second ball, approach, chipping, putting all necessities if you wish to play the game and improve your level. What most Pro’s forget is the person behind the club. Chris taught me so much about myself in the few years that we have worked together. He has become more then just my coach, I value him as a friend who has taught me how to become a better player but also a better person. When I am playing I think of his words a lot, they help me through the round if things get tough. “Soft arms, easy swing”, “Get your 9 iron and just let the club do the work,” “Nice ball mate, very snazzy”.
When you wish to have a trainer who is dedicated, smart and one of the best teachers you can think of Chris is your man. In the year 2010 I hope to become a single handicap player thanks to this man. I really appreciate your effort and patience with me. I look forward to playing and taking you on again very soon.
