GVB
The golfvaardigheidsbewijs (GVB or golf licence) is now needed to play on most courses in the Netherlands. The cost is €60 and the exam consists of 2 sections:
1.Theory: A written exam of twenty questions. Five questions on the etiquette of the game and fifteen questions on the rules of golf.
2. Practical test whereby four holes are played on the Cruquius course at Golf Club Haarlemmermeersche. Three of the four holes count towards your final score and you may not score more than twenty one shots for those three holes.
This is also available on request in English.
For more information about the GVB exam take a look at the website www.gvbexamen.nl or check out www.enga.nl where you can download exam questions and practice at your own leisure.
